This quick and easy and very delicious flapjack recipe, is the perfect baking treat to getting the kids in the kitchen and learning about the basics.

IDEAL FOR: Snacks/ Lunch box fillers
INGREDIENTS
125g butter or margarine
100g dark brown soft sugar
4 tablespoons golden syrup
250g porridge oats
40g sultanas or raisins (Optional fruit flapjacks)
METHOD:
1. Pre heat oven to 180 C/Gas Mark 4
2. In a large saucepan, combine the butter, brown sugar and golden syrup. Cook on a low heat, until the butter and sugar have melted.
3. Once melted, add the oats and combine. Pour in a pre lined and greased 20cm square baking tin and spread.
4. Place in oven, and bake for 30 mins, or until the top is golden. Remove from the oven, cut into squares and leave to cool. Once cooled remove from the tin.
